If I were a better writer

If I were a better writer I wouldn't have to think about whether or not to write who or whom. I wouldn't have had to take the "e" off of whom because I accidentally spelled it "whome" the first time. I would probably stop reminding myself that "effect is a noun." I would remember the rule about semicolons and stop abusing commas.
I know for a fact if I were a better writer, I would be able to just write. I wouldn't be too busy to for typing and instead of finishing a chapter every couple of months it would take me a couple months (okay not exactly a couple) to finish the first draft.
What I'm actually complaining about here is the fact that memebase.com is distracting me from being a writer.
This isn't to say I'm a bad writer. I think I'm a good writer for my age, but everyone could be better.
If this were a "if I was a better editor" post, the list would be endless.

Now that I think about it, if I were a better writer, I'd probably be writing rather than blogging at this very second.
